Guardian reports on Trump, FBI, Putin supporter and Latvia

Take note – story published 6 years ago

Latvia continues to make international headlines - though not always of the hoped-for type - with the UK's Guardian newspaper reporting on a story involving Donald Trump, Latvian and Russian politicians and businessmen, anti-corruption cops and plans for a Las Vegas style resort right next to LSM's home on Zakusala island (pictured above) in the middle of the River Daugava that, thankfully, never materialized.

Titled FBI looked into Trump plans to build hotel in Latvia with Putin supporter, the Guardian even manages to include the controversial New Wave song festival and the no less controversial "Oligarch conversations" scandal within its summary of the complex workings of a group of men not noted for their understatement and modesty.

The full story can be read at the Guardian's website HERE.

LSM has previously reported on some of the things touched on in the report.

And you can see a 2012 interview with Donald Trump Jr., in which he discusses business opportunities and "family wealth" at a conference organized by non-resident bank Baltic International Bank during a Riga visit below.
