Highest Latvian State decorations awarded to 115 persons

On November 11, Latvia's highest state decorations were bestowed to 115 persons, according to Latvian President's official website.

The highest decoration - Order of the Three Stars - was awarded to 52 persons,  the Order of Viesturs to 9 and the Cross of Recognition to 54 persons.

The highest Latvian State awards are received by people who have served the Latvian State and people, whose dedicated professional and social work and civil performance have contributed to Latvia's growth.

The highest State awards have also been bestowed to Latvians whose path has taken them outside Latvia, but who have devoted their lives and work to Latvia and to the preservation of Latvia, as well as to the citizens of other countries – Latvian friends and supporters, who have strengthened Latvian interstate cooperation and international recognition with their work and investment.

The awarding ceremony shall be decided upon after the state of emergency and its limitations are lifted.
