Knitting for Ukrainian soldiers campaign relaunched in Latvia

Take note – story published 1 year ago

At the request of Ukraine, the campaign “Knit for Ukrainian Support” is resumed, during which, until March 17, knitwear can be donated at all Latvian Post departments, Latvian Television reported on February 6.

In particular, adult socks, gloves, scarves, and hats are needed.

The donated knits, in cooperation with the Society Tavi draugi (“Your Friends”), will be delivered to Ukraine.

The knitted goods should be taken to the nearest post office and it should be indicated that the consignment is 'adījumi' (knitwear). Latvian Postal service will accept the consignment and send it free of charge to the association “Tavi draugi”, who will further deliver the goods to Ukraine.

This is not the first knitting campaign in Latvia with the purpose to keep Ukraine's defenders warm: two were already launched last year.
