In a video posted online Latvian Defence Minister Raimonds Vejonis has paid tribute to members of Norway's armed forces who were among the first to arrive in the country to bolster defenses amid increased tensions with Russia.
In a farewell speech (in English) to the famous Telemark Battalion, an elite mechanised infantry unit, Vejonis said "We really appreciate this cooperation because Norway has helped us a lot to develop our armed forces."
