Eight men from Estonia and Latvia are to be put to trial in Austria in connection with charges of working for a gang of computer criminals, the BNS newswire reported Wednesday, citing Austrian newspaper Kleine Zeitung.

Allegedly the men helped the gang steal money from bank accounts. They are accused of stealing nearly €100,000 from nine bank accounts.

The Estonians and Latvians are 19-33 years old. They are accused of opening bank accounts in Austria using forged documents.

Of the accused, four did not plead guilty, three pleaded guilty and one pleaded partially guilty at a court hearing on Tuesday.

The court hearing is to continue on Wednesday. If found guilty, they could face up to 10 years in prison.
