On the evening of August 28 a passenger was evacuated from the Isabella ferry operated by Tallink. The ferry was en route to Stockholm from Rīga, and the passenger was lifted with a helicopter.
Witnesses say a woman fell ill on the 7th deck where the cafes and children's playground are situated, but the information has not been confirmed as of yet. The helicopter did not land on the ferry, instead airlifting the woman.
While passengers were blocked from the upper decks during the airlift, the ferry resumed its course shortly after the rescue.
