Take note – story published 9 years ago

Italian Typhoon fighter-jet pilots stationed with NATO's Baltic Air Police (BAP) in Lithuania scrambled to the skies above the Baltic Sea to intercept a Russian military air refueler Ilyushin IL-78, the National Armed Forces (NBS) announced on the official NBS Twitter feed Tuesday.

This particular type of aircraft was intercepted twice in January of this year and four of the planes were also part of the squadron of Russian military airplanes over the North Sea, as tracked by Norway's Air Force at the end of October 2014.
