Road police: "We will wait where you least expect us to be"

Take note – story published 3 years ago

Police will step up traffic control during the Christmas holidays, said Juris Jančevskis, chief executive of the Police Traffic Safety Board, on December 23.

He said out that also during these holidays, as every year, the police will step up their work on road transport control to catch dangerous drivers.

“We will wait where the you least expect us to be,” Jančevskis said.

He called on drivers not to sit behind the wheel while under influence and to stay at home instead. The loss of a driver's license is the worst gift anyone can get for Christmas, Jančevskis said.
