Coast Guard patrols kept an eye on another Russian navy ship near Latvia's border on the Baltic Sea Wednesday morning, the Igor Belousov, the National Armed Forces reported on its Twitter feed.

The Igor Belousov is a relatively new specialized submarine rescue ship equipped with a helicopter landing dock and deep-sea search gear, the first built by Russia for the purpose of search and rescue in over thirty years.

It was spotted about 11 kilometers off of Latvia's territorial waters inside its Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ).
