Some Rīga residents will not have hot water Thursday

Hot water will not be available for residents of Rīga on the right bank of Daugava during checks of the heat network Thursday, Rīgas siltums representative told Latvian Radio August 5.

The hydraulic test is carried out annually in order to prepare for the next heating season and to detect potential damage in the heat network in good time. The hot water supply will be restored on the evening of August 5, except in those areas where damage will be detected.

These changes will affect residents of Old Riga, Center, Ķengarags, Jugla, Avoti, and other neighborhoods located on the right bank.

“We have also informed the owners and managers of the buildings, whose responsibility is to inform apartment owners. If there are leakages of greenish water during the checks, please immediately report it to our toll-free phone 80000090,” said representative of Rīgas siltums, Agnese Bušta.
