As previously reported by LSM, the man had appeared in a bedraggled state near the town of Weymouth but had been unable to say who he was.
Following an appeal for help from the public, extra information was obtained and police were able to identify the 43-year-old and confirm that he came originally from Latvia. They did not name him or state his current whereabouts.
