On Sunday - Valentine's Day - 50 couples got married in hot air balloons in an attempt to break a Guinness Book World Record, reported LSM's Latvian-language service.
Due to snow, the air balloons were tied to cars and couldn't fly freely. It isn't clear whether the event, held in the city of Jekabpils, qualified as a record-breaker for the number of simultaneous weddings in hot air balloons.
The reply of the Guinness experts observing the midair weddings is expected within two weeks.
