Friday will be warmest day so far this year

On Friday, the air temperature in Latvia will range between +11 and +16 C, cooler on the coast – up to +9 C, according to the Latvian Environment, Geology and Meteorology Center.

Consequently, the warmest day since autumn is expected. Tthe highest air temperature recorded in the country so far this year is +14.6 C on March 20 in Skrīveri.

The weather will be mostly dry and sunny. The sky will be in clearest in Vidzeme, more clouds are expected in the south of the country. The wind will soar slowly to moderately from the east, northeast.

In Rīga, the first of the four holidays will be dry and mostly sunny, with slow to moderate east wind and air temperatures rising to +15 C for the first time this year.
