The weather will get cooler in Latvia next week, according to latest forecasts.

No significant changes to the weather are expected until Saturday. It will rain at times, the sky will be overcast for the most part. Air temperature at night will be between +3 C and +8 C, and during the day +5 C to +10 C. It will get 1 to 3 degrees cooler on Sunday.

Early in the new week, an anticyclone with a central part above Scandinavia will begin to set the weather in our region. Easterly and northerly winds will prevail, and cooler and drier air will come to us.

Current forecasts suggest temperatures will continue to drop, in places slipping to zero overnight in the first half of the week, while some frost is possible in the second half of the week. During the days, temperatures will mostly rise above zero. There will be little precipitation, but some snowfall is possible and a thin layer of snow may develop in some parts of Latvia.
