Precipitation is not expected, but gusty northwesterly winds will blow, especially on Saturday, when gusts will reach 12-16 meters per second in many places.
Air temperatures will slide to -1 C on weekend nights across much of the country, and there will be frost at grass height. It will be warmer on the coast, where the temperature is unlikely to drop below +4 C at night.
Temperatures will be within +10 C to +16 C in the afternoons, cooler on the coast at +7 C to +9 C.
Next week the weather in Latvia will remain dry and sunny, the wind will get slower, and temperatures will rise. A small and short-lived frost is expected in the first half of the week in the mornings, but by the afternoons it will already be +15 C to +20 C, and even above that in the second half of the week.
