Kurzeme will be dominated by thaw all week, with temperatures mostly within 0 to +5 C, but in eastern Latvia, temperatures will stay steadily below zero, slipping below the -5 C mark on some nights.
Precipitation is often expected during the working week – rain, sleet, and snow.
In eastern Vidzeme and northern Latgale, there is a possibility that tree branches may bend and break due to ice and snow. Snow layer in eastern Latvia will continue to increase, while in the west it might melt altogether.
During the weekend, the sky will clear, the nights will get colder and the days will be sunny.
