Coldest weather this week expected around November 18

This week, the weather in Latvia will get cooler and the lowest temperature is expected just around the independence day celebrations – November 18, according to forecasts.

Monday to Thursday, air temperatures will mostly range from -3 C to +3 both nights and days, places on the coast up to 5 degrees. Precipitation - both rain and snow - is expected at times, but significant snow layer will form.

Friday and Saturday will become a few more degrees colder and on the morning of November 18 there is likely to be a small frost in almost all of Latvia, temperatures dropping to -6 C in the east of the country at night. Temperatures will be around zero during the day.

After the weekend, the weather is likely to get warmer.
