Frost is coming to Latvia

Hoarfrost is expected in Latvia in the coming days, according to forecasts.

No significant precipitation is expected until mid-next week, but air temperatures will continue to drop.

Snow and wet snow are expected in places Wednesday to Friday, but no snow layer will form. The weekend will pass completely without precipitation.

Air temperatures will drop to -3 C to +2 C on Thursday night, 0 to +4 during the day. Temperatures will drop by another 1 to 2 degrees on Friday, but on the morning of Saturday, November 18, temperatures will be within -6 C to -1 C across Latvia and they are likely to remain below zero during the day.

A slow drop in temperatures will continue until Tuesday, no precipitation is expected either, and winds will be slow. The sky will clear more often, allowing the sun to shine.

From mid-next week, Atlantic cyclones are likely to return to our region, bringing rainfall, initially snow, and possibly even blizzard as winds intensify, followed by temperatures rising above zero.
