On Saturday morning, the temperature in Latvia will be within +3 C to +8 C with some rain, while in the afternoon the rain might turn into snow and temperatures will drop.
Sunday will be sunny, but it will have gotten cooler. There will be some frost in Latvia on Sunday morning, places in the east of the country -6 C, while maximum daily temperatures will be -1 C to 3 C.
Monday will still pass without precipitation and will have a chilly morning, nearly -10 C in eastern Latvia, but from then on, temperatures will be mostly within -3 C to +3 C at night and =1 C to +4 C during the day, warmer at the end of next week.
Long-term forecasts show that no persistent cold is expected in Latvia for the remainder of February.
So far February has been warmer than the climate norm. Between February 1 and 15, the average temperature in the country was -1 C, but the climatic norm for this period is -3.6 C and traditionally these are one of the coldest periods of the year.
