Week will get colder in Latvia

In the second half of the week, the weather will become colder in Latvia, and roads will become icy in places, according to forecasts by weatherman Toms Bricis.

Significant changes to the weather are not yet expected until Wednesday. Tuesday morning will be chilly, with air temperatures slipping to 0 in most of Latvia, places on the coast a few degrees warmer, the day mostly sunny and temperatures at +7 C to +12 C.

It will rain across the country overnight into Wednesday, so the night will be warmer with a minimum temperature of +5 C to +9 C, it will also rain at times over the course of the day and temperatures will rise by just a degree or two.

From Thursday, the northern, northeastern, and eastern winds will come to Latvia, they will be strong and gusty during the weekend.

Air temperatures in the second half of the week will be a few degrees below zero at night, even around -5 C in places. Temperatures will range between +1 C to +6 C during the days.

There will be little rainfall, but snow is possible in places. There will be no significant snow laer, but it should be assumed that roads can occasionally be icy in the second half of the week.

Long-term forecasts show that at the end of the month, the weather in Latvia will get warmer again and it will rain more often.
