Saturday saw temperatures top 30 degrees Celsius for the first time this year, according to the Latvian Environment, Geology and Meteorology Center (LVĢMC) with similar conditions expected Sunday.
Daugavpils registered a temperature of 30.3 C on Saturday and it is eastern and south-easterm districts that are currently experiencing the highest temperatures.
