Clouds will partly cover the skies of Latvia on Tuesday. Slow winds will blow. The maximum air temperature will be 0 to -4 C degrees, on the Kurzeme coast 0 to +2 C.
Roads will become slippery and snowy in places, especially in the evening.
Some snow is possible in Rīga, and the chances of precipitation will increase in the evening. Slow variable direction winds will blow and the air temperatures will linger around zero.
Overnight into Tuesday in northeastern Vidzeme, air temperatures dropped to -10 C and -11 C, with the coldest weather recorded near Strenči and Veclaicene, according to data from weather observation stations. It is the lowest air temperature in the country since March this year.
On Tuesday morning, the air temperature in Latvia ranges from -1 C to -4 C on the Kurzeme coast to -10 C in some parts of Vidzeme.
In Rīga, the air temperature varies around -5 C and slow winds blow.
