Temperatures will reach 23-28 C in the afternoons on the weekends, and around +20 C on the coast of the Gulf of Rīga in Kurzeme. Night-time minimum temperatures will be +12 C to 17 C.
Localized showers and thunderstorm clouds will continue to form over the weekend, with a higher chance of thunderstorms in Kurzeme and Zemgale.
There will be no major weather changes next week. Temperatures will remain almost unchanged, with mostly sunny days and a few thunderstorm clouds.
Drought will continue and intensify in most of Latvia.
Water temperatures in major rivers and lakes will mostly be in the 15-20 degree range, in Zemgale rivers up to 22 degrees.
On the Baltic Sea and Gulf of Riga coasts, the water is cold in many places, for example in Roja and Skulte, the water temperature was only +8 C on Friday morning.
