The prevailing wind will be slow from the south to southeast, but strong gusts of wind are possible during thunderstorms.
During the day, rain and storm clouds will form in places in the east of the country, with greater probability in the northern part of Vidzeme. Localized storms could bring bursts of hail stones.
Maximum air temperatures across the country are expected to be in the range +26 to +29 degrees Celsius, slightly cooler along the coast.
A sunny day without rain is expected in Riga, where the wind will be slow and it will feel very hot.

The maximum air temperature in the afternoons will mostly remain in the range +24 C to 29 C, ad may even touch 30 C in a few places.
