A warm but windy week ahead

Temperatures at night will often fall below zero, but the thaw will still reign supreme in Latvia, especially during the weekend, weatherman Toms Bricis reported Monday morning.

In the first half of the week expect strong winds and precipitation, especially on Tuesday and Wednesday.

On Monday evening it will start raining, while a snowstorm is expected on Tuesday night, to turn into wet snow and rain in the morning.

The strongest winds are expected on Tuesday and Wednesday, with weed speeds expected to reach 20-24 m/s Wednesday night.

Until Wednesday, nighttime temperatures will range from -1 to +4C and day temperatures range from +1..+7C. 

While on the latter half of the week the nights will be colder and day temperatures will reach 0..+5C, with a weather system bringing precipitation, winds and warmer weather on the weekend.
