The coldest temperatures will be Thursday morning, when temperatures will dip to
0..-5 degrees, with only areas of the Kurzeme shoreline remaining above zero. Daytime temperatures will reach +3..+8 degrees during the middle of the week in the east, falling to around zero in the afternoon.
From Tuesday to Thursday the forecast includes wet and intermittent light snow, creating a thin layer of precipitation in some areas. Some areas may experience short-term heavier snowfall south of the Gulf of Rīga on Wednesday night.
Southerly and southeasternly winds will return over the weekend bringing warmer weather. On Sunday temperatures will reach +5..+10 degrees, and during nights over the weekend only the furthest north areas will possibly experience frost.
