Colder week ahead in Latvia

This week the weather will get colder in Latvia, but temperatures will rise by the end of March, according to LSM's weatherman Toms Bricis.

On Tuesday and Wednesday, there will be frost in most parts of Latvia at night, with temperatures slipping to between  +1 C and -4 C, and during the day temperatures will be within the range of +1 C to +6 C.

In the second half of the week, lower temperatures are expected between Thursday and Saturday, dropping to -1 C to -6 C at night in Kurzeme and Zemgale, and in Vidzeme and Latgale -8 C to 12 C, but during the days it will be within 2 C to +4 C. Sunday will get a little warmer.

Snowfall is expected daily in patches - mostly sleet and some snow.

In the final week of March, the weather will be much warmer, with temperatures rising above +10 C in the afternoons.
