Precipitation is expected only on Friday. It will get significantly warmer in Kurzeme and the central part of the country.
Air temperatures in Kurzeme, Zemgale, and Vidzeme this week will range between +1 C to +5 C during the days, at night -3 C to +2 C, while in the east of the country at night mostly -6 C to -1 C, during the days -3 C to +3 C.
In the west of Kurzeme, it will be the first five consecutive days when the average temperature is above zero, so the meteorological spring begins.
Longer-term weather forecasts show that there is little chance of further cold waves in February, and this month's uncommonly warm weather will prevail.
