Freeze to hit 25 below mid-week

Take note – story published 8 years ago

While we won't be seeing any more heavy snowfall this week, the freeze will only get stronger mid-week, reported Latvian Television's weather man Toms Bricis Monday.

After Sunday's blizzards, the next week will be relatively calm in terms of snow; however on the weekend the snow will start falling again - albeit not as heavily as on Sunday.

The air temperature will be very low during the weekdays. In places where the sky will be clear on the evenings, temperatures will fall to -20..-25 degrees at night and in the wee hours. Meanwhile, in other parts of the country it'll be less freezing at -14..-19 degrees and warmer still in the coastal regions.

During the day temperatures will be at a warm -7..-12 degrees, -15 in the Eastern regions, and -4..-6 in the coastal regions.
