Latvia might get record-warm February 14

On Monday, air temperatures will be close to heat records, according to forecasts by weatherman Toms Bricis.

The sun will often shine, no significant rainfall is expected. A moderate south-west wind will blow.

Maximum air temperature will be between +2 C to +7 Celsius. Historically, the highest temperature on February 14 was recorded in 1995, when it reached +7.5 C in some places in Latvia.

In Rīga too it will be sunny. The maximum air temperature will reach approximately +5 C. In Rīga, the February 14 heat record was set in 1925, with +6.1 C.
