Little chance of white Christmas for Latvia this year

Take note – story published 4 years ago

Current weather forecasts do not suggest that Latvia will see much snow this month; rain, not snow is likely for Christmas, reported the LETA newswire December 6.

According to the Global Forecast System, low-pressure systems will frequently bring warm south and westerly winds to the Baltic countries, and temperatures will be above zero degrees Celsius for most of December.

Slightly colder weather with subzero temperatures is forecast for next week, with snow and rain showers.

Rain is expected in Latvia this weekend as well, but Sunday will be sunny. Temperatures will range from zero to plus 6 degrees.
