As of Monday morning, it will get colder, from -1 C in Kureme to -9 C in the east of Latvia. In the period from Decembre 22 to 24, air temperatures in the east of Latvia are likely to fall below -20 C.

By the time it gets cold again, most of the snow will be melted and no snowfall is expected. It is likely that there will be snow on Christmastime but afterwards there might be thaw again.
