Elsewhere on the coast and in the middle of the country, an orange alert is still in force, while in the rest of Latvia the yellow warning is in force.
The west-northwest wind will reach up to 20-24 meters per second in gusts (m/s). In the western and central areas, mainly on the coast, the north-west wind will be as strong as 28-32 m/s in gusts.
The storm will also be accompanied by substantial rain and snow. Visibility will deteriorate significantly, driving conditions will be difficult.
