Snow to melt over the week

The weather is turning topsy-turvy this week with rising temperatures expected to melt the snow blanket over the week, reported LSM's weather man Toms Bricis Monday.

Until Thursday temperatures will stay at about 0..-4C in Latvia's eastern parts but will remain a few degrees above zero in the rest of the country with temperatures of 0..+5C and up to +7C in places.

The weekend will be warmer across the country with temperatures of +2..+7C at night and +3..+9C in daytime.

According to current forecasts, on November 18 when Latvia celebrates its independence day parts of Latvia will see short showers of rain and winds of with gusts of up to 15 m/s.
