After a couple of balmy holidays, this week will be a bit more cloudy. Rain is in the forecast, but temperatures are to remain summery, reports LSM's weather man Toms Bricis.

While forecasts are changeable, it's thought Tuesday will bring local showers but Wednesday will bring heavier rain locally, with precipitation culminating on Thursday and Friday.

Temperatures are to be especially contrasting on Tuesday with the cloud cover bringing air temps down to about +15C in the Latgale and Zemgale regions but the western regions and Vidzeme enjoying a balmy +22..+27C.

Temperatures are to hover around +18..+25 during the day and +7..+14 at night. The forecasts for the weekend are inconclusive but it's likely there'll be some rain and thunderstorms with air temperatures remaining warm across the country.
