Temperatures to rise next week

Take note – story published 7 years ago

This weekend will be cloudy and warmer than recent days, while next week could give us an early taste of spring weather, according to LSM's weatherman Toms Bricis.

Night-time temperatures will be in the range  -6 C to - 11, but near the coast things will be considerably warmer with night-time temperatures of -2 C to - 5 C degrees.

Daytime temperatures will gradually warm up from -5 C to 0 C so that a full-scale thaw will begin on Monday.

Warmer air will be brought in by a north-westerly wind and in western districts temperatures could rise to + 7 C.

However, the warmer temperatures are also likely to bring some rain with them, with the threat of ice foring on roads overnight.
