On Thursday air temperatures will rise to +19 to +24 degrees Celsius in the afternoon, with cooler places found on the coast and in the north of the country where temperatures will be +10 to + 15 degrees. However as is normal for the season, the heat will be accompanied by thunder storms, occasionally quite violent ones that will bring bursts of rain and hailstones.
Friday will be fairly rainy with storms in the east, but it should clear up for Friday, May 4 when the nation celebrates the restoration of independence with "White tablecloth day" and temperatures of between +13 and +18 C.
On Saturday and Sunday the nights will be cool (+2 to + 7 C), but the days will get warmer reaching +16 to +21 C in many parts of the country, with cooler spots along the coast.
Long-term forecasts show that dry and warm weather will predominate in Latvia next week.
