Warm weekend but then cold to return next week

Take note – story published 6 years ago

After a cold but sunny Friday, the weather will warm up over the coming weekend -- before cooling off again next week.

Saturday will be sunny and warm (relatively speaking) across most of the country, with the temperature rising to between +3 and + 8 degrees C.

Overnight from Saturday to Sunday clouds will build up so that even at night temperatures will stay within the -3 to + 2 C range; during the day the sun will occasionally peek between the clouds and temperatures will reach +5 to +10 degrees.

Similar weather will continue on Monday, but from Tuesday onwards, a further drop in temperature is expected. In the middle of next week, both frost and snow are likely, but forecasts for the Easter holidays remain unclear, though there is a chance that warm weather will return.
