Warmish week with a coolish end awaits in Latvia

Take note – story published 3 years ago

This working week will be a relatively mild one in Latvia, while next weekend's Easter holidays will be considerably cooler, according to LSM weatherman Toms Bricis.

The highest temperature this week is expected on Wednesday, when in most parts of the country the temperature will reach from +11 Celsius to + 16 C, and in some places in Latgale might even climb up to +18 C.

It will be a mild week until Wednesday night/Thursday morning, when Latvia will be crossed by a cold atmospheric front, bringing rain to many places and even sleet to a few, with an outside chance of patches of snow forming.

It will be sunnier on Fridays and Saturday, though light rain will still be a possibility. Afternoon temperatures will be in the range +2 C to + 8 C, with a little frost is expected at night. Only on the coast will the temperature remain above zero at night.

On Easter Sunday and Easter Monday, things will get a little warmer again, with the temperature in some places exceeding +10 C.
