The sky will be mostly cloudy this week, with frequent rainfall and gusts of wind. Relatively warm weather will remain in place and air temperatures will not drop below -1 degrees, according to the Center for Environment, Geology and Meteorology.
On Monday, December 16, the weather will be determined by an active cyclone, with overcast skies, rainfall and sleet. Moderate southwesterly winds will strengthen as the day progresses so that during the night winds of up to 20-23 meters per second inland and 25-26 meters per second along the coast are expected. Consequently the meteorological service has issued a warning about stormy conditions at night.

According to current forecasts, a new cyclonic system will approach the territory of Latvia during the Christmas holidays, bringing with it - can you guess? - yet more widespread rainfall.
