Weather will get gradually warmer this week in Latvia

 The weather in Latvia will get colder in the first half of the week but thaw will prevail in the second half of the week according to forecasts by weatherman Toms Bricis.

The coldest temperatures are expected on the night to Wednesday when the thermometer bar will slide down to - 7 C to -12 C, even down to - 20 C in Vidzeme. 

Warmer weather will begin on Wednesday with temperatures above zero in Kurzeme and slightly below zero in the rest of the country. It will be icy and roads will be slippery. 

On Thursday and Friday temperatures will range between +2 C and +7 C throughout the country. 

Strong winds are expected at the beginning of the next week, possibly even a storm over the Baltic sea.
