Take note – story published 3 years ago

After a fairly sunny Friday, the last few days of August promise to be damp affairs, though September looks more promising, according to the latest forecasts.

Friday night will be cool, with the air temperatures dropping to +8 Celsius to + 13 C, but in some places in Vidzeme and Latgale the temperature will be cooler still at +4 C to  + 7 C. The night should pass without rain, but in the morning the sky will be cloudy all over the country and Saturday itself will be rainy, with persistent precipitation in many places and temperatures of only +14 C to + 19 C.

On Sunday, the sky will be clearer, the sun will shine, but both at night and during the day there will be further rain showers. Temperatures will be slightly warmer than Saturday at +17 C to + 22 C.

The start of the new working week will bring continued improvement. While there will also be rain on Monday, on Tuesday the weather will get better and it will be sunny, with no rain expected. The following few days in early September will be mostly sunny and a little warmer.
