Weekend will be slippery when wet

Take note – story published 7 years ago

An unexceptional weekend is in store weather-wise, with a general thaw continuing and occasional patches of ice amid the slush making driving dangerous.

Weekends will be mostly cloudy, with occasional drizzle and sleet and gentle southerly winds.

Temperature will be within the -2 to +5 C range with patches of fog adding the the perils of ice on the roads.

And according to LSM's weather forecasters, much of next week will have similarly uninspiring weather, though temperatures are expected to drop again around Wednesday night to around -10 C in the east of the country as skies clear.

In short: keep dreaming of spring and find interesting things to do indoors!
