In eastern districts of the country including eastern Vidzeme and Latgale there will still be daily thunderstorms, Thursday and Friday but overall there will be less rain.
Kurland and Zemgale regions should experience mostly dry and sunny days.
Air temperatures on Thursday and Friday will reach +19 Celsius to + 24 C, with cooler weather expected along the coastline and in the extreme east. At night the air will cool down to +8 C to + 13 C. Northwesterly winds will prevail on these days, which will become more gusty.
During the weekend the wind will be slow and changing direction, with mostly sunny days. In some places in Vidzeme and Latgale possible thunderstorms will linger but temperatures during the day will reach +20 C to + 25 C, rising to +26 C to + 27 C in the south on Sunday.
Current long-term forecasts indicate that the weather will be dry and warm or even hot through most of next week.
