Latvian animations make it to Hiroshima

The 18th international animation festival "Hiroshima '20" will include three Latvian-made animations, according to the information published on the festival's homepage August 19.

Two animations by the studio Avārijas Brigāde have been selected for the festival: Jānis Cimmermanis' film "Holidays in London" has been included in the category "Animation for Children" and  Dace Rīdūze's "The Dust" has made it to the category "Best of the World".

"Best of the World" category also includes Liene Rubane's animation "Not Alive Yet", which has been made in Latvian-Mexican cooperation.

The festival, according to the website, will take place August 20 to 24 online and include six different programs.
