Nelsons, Opolais get Grammy nominations

Latvian conductor Andris Nelsons and operatic soprano Kristine Opolais have both been nominated for prestigious Grammy awards in the United states.

"Shostakovich: Under Stalin's Shadow - Symphony No. 10", recorded by the Boston Symphony Orchestra under Nelson's baton and released by Deutsche Gramophon, has been nominated in the Best Orchestral Performance category.

Latvian opera star Opolais took part in the recording of "Nessun Dorma - The Puccini Album", released by Sony Classical, which has received the nod in the category of Best Classical Solo Vocal Album.

The 58th Grammy Awards will be awarded on February 15th, 2016.
