New space of '427' art gallery to open in Rīga

On October 1, a personal exhibition by Raidis Kalniņš, titled Breakout. The lost knight. will start off the life of the new space of the '427' art gallery in Rīga, Stabu iela 70.

FOUR TO SEVEN or '4 2 7' is an artist-run gallery that was opened in April 2014, established established by Ieva Kraule and Kaspars Groševs. 

The exhibition will be open from October 1 to November 13 on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 4 PM to 7 PM, or you can make an appointment with the people running the place. 

Raids Kalniņš studied at the Liepāja high school of arts as a woodworker, and graduated the Liepāja Pedagogy Institute. Up until now his personal exhibitions were held at the Latvian Centre for Contemporary Art, at the new media culture center Rixc and at the Liepāja Museum. 

Raids Kalniņš has taken part at the group exhibition Negantnieki (The Mischiefs) at the Arsenāls art gallery (2012), at the Kvarķirņiks (An apartment party) in 2010, as well as in other projects.
