Rīga Orchestra offers concert recordings as part of e-culture initiative

As part of a Culture Ministry initiative to promote online culture offerings during the coronavirus pandemic, the Rīga Brass Orchestra have collected their concert recordings all in one place on the web.

The brass band said March 19 it has set up a dedicated web page featuring photos as well as audios and videos of concerts with well-known guests such as Raimonds Pauls, Daumants Kalniņš, Inga Šļubovska-Kancēviča, and Oskars Petrauskis appearing alongside the Rīga Orchestra. 

The orchestra's YouTube channel has a number of full-length concert recordings available, including concerts from 2018, the centenary year when many were held. 

Meanwhile the website of Latvian Television has a January 26, 2017 recording of the Rīga Orchestra concert that kicked off the centenary celebrations. 

A number of recordings is also available in the Latvian Radio 3 archives. Here you can find recordings from the Windstream festival held in spring 2019 (the opening concert is available at the April 10 broadcast.) The April 22 broadcast meanwhile features the brass band together with soloists Inga Šļubovska-Kancēviča, Laura Grecka, Mihails Čuļpajevs and Rihards Mačanovsks.
