ZELT Sea Buckthorn Garden
Starting Saturday, April 17, ZELT sea buckthorn garden is open for walks to everyone - nature lovers, birdwatchers, those who want to know more about sea buckthorns. Garden in Zeltlejas, Jelgava municipality, is open 10 AM to 4 PM. Location on the map here. Entry is free.
Pēteris Vasks
April 16 marks the 75th birthday of Latvian composer Pēteris Vasks. A livestream concert with the Latvian National Symphony Orchestra, conductors Māris Sirmais and Andris Poga, violinist Kristīne Balanas and celloist Margarita Balanas will be broadcast on Latvian Radio 3 at 7 PM and Latvian Television at 9 PM.
On April 17, Latvijas Koncerti offers another concert marking the same event with Latvian Radio choir, conductor Sigvards Kļava and pianist Reinis Zariņš. The concert will be streamed at 9 PM on Latvijas Koncerti website and Facebook page.
Seed exchange
Āgenskalna market has introduced a new service - a seed exchange. Bring the seeds you don't want to plant for one reason or another and get other seeds in place. Seed exchange point is open Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays from 8 AM to 6 PM and Saturdays from 11 AM to 1 PM. Entrance from Nometņu Street 64.
