Three for the Weekend in Latvia: Art, Music, Support

Take note – story published 2 years ago

For this weekend, we have selected two events directly supporting Ukraine and an event to rock out at – but nothing stops you from making a donation call from the nightclub!

WeStandWIthUkraine

On Friday, March 18  at 18:00, the Latvian alt-rock music scene will host a charity concert at the club Republika (Mazā Pils Street, 11). The entry fee will be a donation of free choice to be directed toward the Ziedot.lv charity fund for Ukraine.

On stage: FOOLS ON PARADE, ADVANCED BLUE, NIKOTĪŅI, (NE)PIEDOD, DANI RYAN.

Art for Ukraine

For art lovers, the Latvian Academy of Art is setting up an art fair, the revenue of which will be directed to Ukrainian refugees – students at the Academy. You will be able to buy artworks and T-shirts with the Academy's students' design.

The fair takes place Friday, March 18, between 14:00 and 19:00, and March 19, between 12:00 and 19:00 at the Latvian Academy of Art (Kronvalda bulvāris 4).

DEPO 20

The oldest nightclub of Rīga, DEPO (Vaļņu Street 32) is celebrating its 20th birthday with several nights of concerts. On March 18, starting 21:00, Nova Koma and Dzelzs Vilks will be on stage, whereas on March 19, the spotlight will be on Inokentijs Mārpls and Dzeltenie Pastnieki. Party all night long!
